Dear Baba-lovers,
We’re very glad to announce that the doors of Beloved Avatar Meher Baba’s Samadhi will be open once again from October 7th, 2021, in accordance with the state government’s directives for all temples and places of religious worship throughout Maharashtra, which naturally includes Avatar Meher Baba’s Samadhi.
As before, due to the government’s restrictions, the Samadhi doors will be opened; however the screen in front of the Samadhi door and over the threshold will remain; there will be no bowing down by the door, no prasad, no Arti or prayers, no flowers or garlands, no sitting in the portico. All in line for darshan from the door must be masked, have used the hand sanitizer on entering the portico, and observed the marked social distancing of 6 feet apart when going around the portico. There will be no Samadhi cleaning by pilgims.
The timing for darshan will be from 7 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Baba’s Cabin and all other historic rooms on the Hill will remain locked, and the Gaadi will not be available.

In addition, the Trust is hoping to once again welcome Meher Baba’s lovers to Meherabad pilgrim accommodations later in October, i.e., MPR and Hostel D. We will be strictly incorporating all Government health and safety guidelines in these accommodations, and will limit accommodations. Extra precautions by the Trust will also be in place for the safety of all.
Meherazad:
Meherazad too will also reopen to His lovers in a limited way after first observing how the set up works for a few weeks at Meherabad.
