The Trust is a perpetual public charitable trust registered in India under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950; under section 12-A of the Income Tax Act, 1961; and under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. Indian donors are eligible for tax deductions under section 80-G of the Income Tax Act.
