Jai Baba.
Dear Baba lovers,
With great sadness, we are letting you know that one of Baba’s very close disciples, Ali Ramjoo, peacefully passed away on 31st July 2021 in Pune after a recent illness. He was surrounded by his loving family and was 91 years old.
Ali was the son of Ramjoo Abdulla, one of Meher Baba’s intimate mandali members from before Manzil-e-Meem until Ramjoo himself passed away in 1967. Because of his father, Ali was raised under Baba’s orders since he was a small child, grew up in close proximity to Dr. Ghani Munsiff, and of course later met Baba many times. Ali eventually was married and had his own family, and to support them he worked as a Store Manager for the State Transport (public bus) services. (In fact, he insisted on coming to Ahmednagar from Pune by public bus on nearly every occasion, despite his advancing age.)
Ali was the last remaining Trustee of the Avatar Meher Baba Trust appointed by Baba Himself, in 1967 in place of Ramjoo, and he remained an active Trustee until recently. He is also the last one to be buried at Lower Meherabad among the men mandali.
