Who is a Counsellor?
A counsellor’s role involves providing support, guidance to participants who may need emotional or any other assistance.
They might offer a listening ear, provide resources, offer advice, or facilitate discussions on relevant topics. Additionally,
counsellors may help manage any conflicts or crises that arise during the Sahavas event and ensure the well-being
of participants. They will also make sure that the discipline rules set by the AMBPPC Trust are followed.
Their selection will be done by the IMbYAS Organizing team with the consent of the Trustees.
Age and other criteria for Counsellor
• To become a counsellor, you need to have participated in one or two Sahavas programs before.
• Should be a matured and experience person having ability to deal with people from a Baba perspective.
• Good observation and listening skills. Should have a warm and caring attitude.
• Should understand and be able to speak atleast 2 languages.
Note: Please bring your original Government ID having Photo & Date of Birth, for verification during registration on 7th
June 2026.
Important dates and timings:
• Counsellors need to arrive before 9:30 am on 6th June 2026 at MPR.
• It is MANDATORY for Counsellors to attend volunteer training session from at 9:30 am on 6th June 2026.
• Sahavas begins: 7th June 2026 (afternoon)
Sahavas ends: 13th June 2026 (afternoon with Lunch)
Mandatory Rules for Counsellors:
• Counsellors should have attended at least one Sahavas as a participant/volunteer.
• Counsellors have to attend the volunteer meeting at 9:30 am on 6th June 2026.
• Counsellors should be flexible and open-minded to any kind of work assigned to them.
• Counsellors will prioritise completing any and all assigned tasks, even if it means missing programs and events.
General Mandatory Rules:
• All attendees to stay ONLY at the MPR during this period.
• Attendees will not be allowed to join or leave in between or stay in any other location.
• All charges need to be paid at the time of arrival at MPR.
• All attendees need to assemble in the Meeting Hall for orientation at 4:30 pm on 7th June 2026 after tea.
• All participants have to attend the all programs on the schedule during the Sahavas.
• No family members, children, parents/guardian, friends or pets will be allowed to visit or stay at MPR with
participant during Sahavas.
• All attendees are required to maintain the decorum and uphold sanctity of Meherabad as a place of pilgrimage.
• Any attendee found breaking any of the Meherabad Sahavas rules or not behaving in an appropriate manner will be
asked to leave the Sahavas in between and won’t be allowed to enrol for future Sahavas programmes.
If you want to stay in Meherabad before or after Sahavas:
• For Indian Nationals:
Before Sahavas: Stay available only at Hostel D or you can make your own other arrangement.

After Sahavas: Stay available at Hostel D/MPC/MPR or you can make your own other arrangement.

• For Non-Indian Attendees:
Those coming from outside India can stay at the MPR from 6th June 2026 and continue their stay at MPR after
Sahavas.
Charges:
• Cost is for accommodation and food only. The accommodation charges are subsidized only for the IMbYAS
programme.
• Food charges:
Per meal: Rs. 110 and per day basis it is Rs. 310 (Tea, Breakfast, Lunch, Tea, Dinner)
Total for 7 days (7th June 2026 evening Tea onwards up to 13th June 2026 Lunch): Rs. 1860
• Accommodation charges:
Per day at MPR: Rs. 70 (Rates subsidised only for Sahavas).
Total for 7 nights and 7 days (7th June 2026 to 13th June 2026): Rs. 560
• Total charges
Food Rs. 1860 + Accommodation Rs. 560 = Rs. 2420
• All charges need to be paid at the time of arrival at MPR.
